About Me
If you have landed on this page, you are probably looking for counseling options and wondering if I am the right therapist for you.
I am Olivia, and I am a firm believer in the journey of healing “through the process of therapy”. From a young age, I had tremendous interest in mind/body connection. I came to the mental health profession through my own journey of inquiry, self-discovery and personal growth. My love of psychology grew as I dug deeper into texts of Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow to name a few and pursued a career in Social Work and obtained a Masters degree in 2012 from Wayne State University.
I am here, many mature years later, eager to share my breakthrough techniques that allows for freedom from anxiety, depression and the debilitating narratives we develop about ourselves.
Aside from being a therapist, I’m also a mother to three wonderful children and have been married since 2010. I have had my own trials and tribulations and I understand what it’s like to be on the other side of the therapeutic process. My own journey has allowed me to better connect and understand humans on a deeper level.
My professional experience includes; (residential treatments, crisis intervention programs in hospitals, psychiatric units, structured rehabilitation units, and a school setting just to name a-few. I also have my bachelors in Education which allows me to teach and engage in public speak events regarding mental health.
I am currently providing individual and couples therapy.
Looking forward to working together.
Olivia
